Pom Poms

Resources:

·         Cardboard

·         Wool

Cut out 2 donut shaped card circles (5cm diameter with a 2cam hold in the middle)

Place rings together and wind wool around rings through the centre hole. Keep doing this until the card is covered. Next, cut the wool, in between the 2 pieces of card, all the way around the edge. Cut off cardboard rings.

Bead keyrings

Resources:

·         Coloured beads

·         Thick string

·         Key ring

Thread different colour beads onto string and tie onto a key ring.

Glass lanterns

Resources:

·         Glass jars (1 each)

·         Tea lights

·         Tissue paper

·         Sequins/glitter

·         PVA glue (Some watered down)

·         Green thick garden wire

Using the watered down PVA, cover the glass jam jar with glue

Stick on ripped up tissue paper

Using PVA glue, stick on sequins/glitter

Put tea light in the middle. Wrap garden wire around the top of the jar to create a handle.

CD fish

Resources:

·         Old CDs (1 each)

·         Card

·         Glue

·         Wiggly eyes

·         String

Place an eye in the centre of the CD. This is the body of the fish

Add on lips, fins and tail with coloured card, around the edge of the CD

Attach strong to the top of the fish (from the fin) to hang

Egg Head

Resources:

·         Eggs (1 each)

·         Soil

·         Herb seed

·         Card

Cut the top off each egg and empty out the egg into a bowl.

Decorate the egg with a face and fill with soil and seeds

The seed will grow out of the top to make hair

Using a small rectangular piece of card, wrap it into a tube and use as a stand for the egghead.

Memo pad

Resources:

·         Small post it notes (cheap from ASDA)

·         Card

·         Glue

·         Stickers/sequences etc

·         String

Draw round the post it notes on a rectangular piece of card to mark out where the post it notes are to go.

Decorate the card.

Glue on a small pad of post it notes on the card

Attach string to the top to hang it.

Friendship bracelets

Resources:

·         Thick thread/silks

·         Instructions

·         Sellotape

Recommended length of thread: 25 inches

Sellotape knotted thread to the table to stop it moving around.
